RTS Parents' Newsletter

We had the absolute pleasure this week of welcoming nearly 300 parents and children to our Year 6 into 7 Welcome Event on Wednesday evening. It was wonderful to start meeting the families who will be joining us in September and to introduce them to the RTS community.

There were a lot of excited young children as they were shown around the school (without their parents!) by our student ambassadors, followed by resounding cheers as they began to learn the RTS haka - all whilst their parents experienced a carousel of SLT introductions and presentations. The Catering Team put on their usual outstanding tasty treats - a fantastic team effort from all staff involved.

At the end of February Michelle, Year 7, attended the prestigious Miss Valentine International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition in Tartu, Estonia.

Michelle had a wonderful experience and we are delighted to share that she won a silver medal in her age group for her free routine! She worked incredibly hard and, understandably, her parents are exceptionally proud of her achievement - as are we.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance in their recent mock exams. From the teacher feedback so far their commitment to their studies has truly paid off, and we couldn't be more impressed with their achievements. Well done to each and every one of them! Not long to go until the real exams and, as always, we ask that you remind them to build rest and wellbeing time into their revision timetables.

A special shoutout also goes to our fantastic Yearbook Committee and student photographers, who have been working tirelessly to capture and preserve memories of their time at RTS as we head towards the finish line. Their creativity and attention to detail mean that this year’s yearbook will be one to remember!

Congratulations to all—your efforts and achievements deserve to be celebrated! 🎉

From brainstorming brilliant ideas to crafting compelling pitches, this hands-on experience will equip budding entrepreneurs with the skills and confidence to turn their dreams into reality.
