Junior High Wrestling
Junior High Wrestling Dear Parents and Wrestlers: Welcome to another great season of Eagle wrestling. We have quite a busy schedule this season and we hope for a very successful one. I would like to thank all the parents for their help and support in advance, I know it takes a lot of time and effort on your part to help your wrestler be successful.
As coaches we would like to take this opportunity to invite all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls from Fairfield, Greenfield and Power schools to participate in our Junior High Wrestling Program.
Practices will begin on February 3th at 6:00 pm to 7 pm in the wrestling room. We will practice Monday, Tuesday on the 3rd,4thand Monday, Tuesday the 10th and 11th. This practice will be at 5:45 pm to 7 pm. The week of 17th through 21st of February we go to our regular schedule. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 5:45 pm. If we do not have a meet on Fridays, we will practice from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm.
If for some reason your wrestler cannot be in practice, they need to let me know as soon as possible. Because wrestling is a contact sport, and we cover new moves at every practice it is important that they make every practice unless excused by a coach. Unexcused practices may result in suspension from the next scheduled event.
Each wrestler will need to have a physical, concussion test, training rules and sign up in Dragonfly Max. Fairfield 7th and 8th (code: LRSVCU) turned in before they can practice. Students participating in wrestling will also need to purchase an activity card and pay to play. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Arps at 406-467-2528 with any questions about the activity card and pay to play.
Students will need to have a tee shirt, shorts, and shoes for practice. If they don’t have wrestling shoes, we will try to provide shoes if possible. We will provide headgear and singlets. Warm up shirt will cost $25.
We are looking forward to a very successful season and we hope to see you at the meets. Thanks again. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at: Work 467-2509 Cell 461-1612
