National Substance Abuse Prevention Month
October was declared National Substance Abuse Prevention Month in 2011 to help bring attention to the issue of substance abuse and break the cycle of alcohol and drug addiction. Speak out in support of healthy choices and spread awareness about the dangers of Fentanyl during Fentanyl Awareness Month. Need help concerning drug abuse? Reach out to the National Helpline by texting 55753 or calling 1-800-662-4357. We also have trained mental health professionals, our Responsive Services Counselors, who can help suffering students.
National Principals Month
October is National Principals Month. Take the time to let your principal know that you appreciate his or her hard work and dedication. #ThankAPrincipal
National Hispanic Heritage Month
National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans of Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, Central and South American descent. It is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 Schools throughout our district will be holding special activities and programs in honor of this month. Fall Break
Fall break will be from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 18, 2024. Enjoy your Fall Break! Teachers and students will return to school on Oct. 21.
