Survey for Families
Dear Atholton families,
It was great spending St. Patrick’s Day at the Raider Roast! What a great evening! Thank you to the Athletic Boosters for putting on such a great event. Although I was outbid in the silent auction, I strongly encourage you to save the date for this fun event next year!
This week is the opening of our spring musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It is about six strangers who have one thing in common- they love to spell! Surrounded by their high-pressure families, a former Spelling Bee Champion (Syzygy), a jaded assistant principal (they won’t let him be principal), a parolee comfort counselor, and a variety of other colorful characters, these six champions duke it out for the title of champion. Join us for some made-up words, a few tears, a lot of laughter, and songs you’ll be humming for weeks to come. The spring musical is Thursday, March 23 (7 pm), Friday, March 24 (7 pm), and Saturday, March 25 (3 pm & 7 pm). Come out and see a great show. I want to congratulate our Space RAIDers Robotics Team for an outstanding showing last week (2nd place). As team members approached me one by one to tell me the good news, I could not wait to publicize the result. Ryan Nguyen explained how very happy they are with taking second place and also being able to win against the number 1 ranked team once. The SpaceRAIDers worked very hard this build season, working through tough technical challenges and, ultimately, succeeded so far. The team will continue to prepare and improve the robot for the second District Event at Dulaney High school on 3/25 GOOD LUCK THIS COMING WEEKEND!!.
The newsletter this week will be brief as I am assigning homework to our families! As part of our school improvement process, we are asking families to provide input about their equity priorities at our school. Please use the link below to complete the HCPSS Indicators of Educational Equity Survey by April 14, 2023. We will use your input, along with other school data, to refine our school improvement plan for next year.
This survey is anonymous and available in multiple languages. If you have children at more than one school, please complete one survey per school.
Here are the surveys:
Please take just a few minutes to complete the survey!
Have a fantastic week!
