Nespeca's Notes

As we begin to wrap up the school year, we’re starting the process of creating homeroom classes for next year. Many factors go into thoughtfully placing students with teachers, and our administrative team works closely with grade-level teachers to ensure each child is set up for success.

If you have any input regarding the type of teaching style or classroom environment that best supports your child’s learning, please complete the form linked below—one for each child. If you have twins or siblings in the same grade and have a placement preference, you may also indicate that on the form.

While we are unable to accommodate specific teacher requests, we value the insight you provide about your child’s learning needs and will take that into consideration. To be included in the placement process, forms must be submitted by the end of the day on April 11th. All information shared will be reviewed only by the assistant principals for each grade level.

Hiker/Bikers

We've noticed an increasing number of students arriving at the school gates as early as 7:30 AM. Please note that the gates will not open until 7:55 AM, and there is no supervision available before that time. We’ve received multiple reports of injuries and rough play occurring on the field during this unsupervised period. For the safety of all students, please do not send your child to the gate before 7:55 AM.

STAAR Testing

We will not be able to accommodate lunch visitors on April 9, April 15, or April 29 due to STAAR testing taking place in our building.

Last Day for Lunch Visitors

Mark your calendars—May 2nd will be the last day we are able to welcome lunch visitors in our building.

Attention all incoming Kindergarteners for the 2025-2026 school year! Join us for a fun-filled event at Swenke on April 16th from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There will be exciting activities planned just for you, plus a chance to explore the building and get to know your new school.

Open Transfers

Open Campus Transfer request forms for the 2025-26 school year are now available.

Please visit our website at www.cfisd.net, click on Parents & Students, Student Registration,

Student Transfers & Transfers and 2025-26 Student Transfer Information to review a list of
