Parent/Teacher Conferences are February 10th and February 12th. We are revising our conference format for these conferences, you can find the details below. HWMS counselors visited with 6th & 7th grade students about their available options and how to complete their enrollment for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Take time to visit with your child about available classes and their choices. Students will enroll for their elective classes on their Chromebooks. Campus High School Freshman Counselor Ms. Doile visited with 8th graders in January about their class requirements for high school. 8th graders should attend the 2025 - 2026 Enrollment Conferences at CHS on Monday, February 10th and Wednesday, February 12th from 3:15 - 7:45pm.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are a "come and go" format. When arriving at HWMS you will pick up a copy of your child's schedule in the commons. At that time you are free to visit with any or all of your child's teachers. There will be a variety of students' work and projects on display throughout the building for you to enjoy and get a glimpse of what is "Happening" daily in the classrooms at HW. All parents who attend conferences are eligible to enter a drawing for an Amazon gift card. We look forward to seeing you here!

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to HWMS! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves! Fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health. One more reason to visit the Book Fair is that every purchase benefits our school!

While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family can add funds. When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.

Make sure to ask your student about the Enrollment Information they received for the 2025 - 2026 School Year. 6th & 7th grade students need to complete their elective choices on their Chromebooks by Friday, February 7th.

Students who qualify will go to the movies on Friday, February 28th. To qualify students must:

• Have NO unexcused absences.
• Have ALL assignments turned in and ALL passing grades. Including "My Path" minutes.
• Have received NO disciplinary occurrences.
