Collective Worship
Our collective worship value next week is Justice. Please take time to talk to your child about this.
Sports Day
Date for your diary – Sports Day will take place on the afternoon of Friday 23rd May.
Could you donate a Water Butt to School?
Do you have a water butt that is in good condition and could be donated to school? The Eco Warriors are looking to put one in the Willow outdoor area to collect rainwater and would prefer to recycle rather than purchase from new.
Trainee Teacher from Zurich needing accommodation
We are delighted to host a trainee teacher from the University of Zurich for a school placement from 2nd - 20th June. This is part of the university's cultural enrichment programme. The teacher will be in our school every day for those three weeks.
Whilst the university supports students to find a school placement and travel to the host nation, they aren't able to organise accommodation. We are therefore reaching out to families and friends to see if anyone has accommodation that the student could use. This would be a paid arrangement that would be organised privately between the individual and the host.
If you have a room, or annex, or even an Air BnB that you might be able to offer, please let us know. The student would not have their own transport, so this would need to be taken into consideration, although school staff will happily help with this if we are able.
NHS Pharmacy First Service
Did you know that the NHS Pharmacy First Service enables children and adults to get convenient access to healthcare advice and treatment where appropriate, for seven common conditions without the potential delay of having to wait for a GP appointment? Accessing the service may mean that can help children feel better and back to school as quickly as possible, as well as supporting parents/carers to also get better if they are unwell with one of the conditions covered under the service.
There is no need to make an appointment; parents or carers can pop into their local Boots pharmacy with their child and ask for help under the service.
Support for the following conditions can be accessed under the service, free of charge (unless NHS prescription charges apply):
