Point Loma Summer Concerts (PLSC)
We are deeply grateful to Point Loma Summer Concerts (PLSC) for their generous donation of $3,000 to the Correia Music Department! This contribution will directly support our tutoring program, which connects our students with professional musicians to enhance their musical growth.
For over a decade, PLSC has been a steadfast supporter of the Correia Instrumental Department, providing critical funding to help sustain and enrich our programs. Each summer, PLSC hosts raffles at their five concerts to raise money for local music programs, including those in our cluster schools. We encourage everyone to support this amazing organization by attending their concerts and purchasing raffle tickets. For more information and a full list of upcoming concerts, please visit their website at pointlomasummerconcerts.org.
Thank you, Point Loma Summer Concerts, for your continued dedication to music education in our community!
Correia Music Department Receives Generous $7,500 Grant from the Leighton Foundation
The Correia Music Department is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant of $7,500 from the Leighton Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering young people and fostering opportunities for education, leadership, and the arts. This incredible support will make a meaningful difference in our mission to provide high-quality music education to our students.
The Leighton Foundation was established with a vision to uplift communities by investing in programs that inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders and creators. With a strong focus on education, the arts, and youth development, the foundation believes in providing access to resources and experiences that help young people unlock their full potential. Their support of local initiatives, like ours, is a testament to their commitment to building a brighter future for all.
At Correia, this grant will enhance our instrumental music program, specifically supporting our tutoring program, which connects our students with professional musicians to improve their musical growth. It will also help us expand our outreach efforts, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, can experience the transformative power of music education.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Leighton Foundation for recognizing the value of our work and investing in our community. Their generosity enables us to inspire, challenge, and support our young musicians, helping them develop as artists and as confident and capable individuals.
Thank you, Leighton Foundation, for your commitment to empowering young minds and strengthening the arts in our community! Together, we are making a difference.
