Our first Scholastic book fair is happening next week 10/21-10/25. Volunteers are still needed, especially during the after school shopping times and the Monster Mash. As a thank you, each volunteer gets $10 to spend at the book fair. Please see the signup genius below!

Monster Mash Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 25 from 5:30-7:30. This is a free family event! MC & DJ provided by Bash Entertainment, Junkyard Pit Crew food truck and Kona Ice will be on hand. Grade level costume contest and best trunk prizes to be awarded! Please use the signup link below to RSVP for this event so that we have an accurate candy count. This even cannot be a success without the help of our families! Please use the signup genius links to host a trunk and donate candy.

Save the date for our first movie night of the year on Friday, November 8 from 6-8 pm! This evening will also kick off our Toys for Tots toy drive. Bring a brand new unwrapped toy for donation! All donations will go toward the collection at Brighton Ford’s Santa Night on December 5th. The Brighton elementary school that donates the most toys for Toys for Tots wins $3,000!

There is a helpful feature in Parent Connect that allows you to enter your student’s absence. Simply log into parent connect and click on the link Report Absence. The Report Absence link will open a screen for you to complete. If you have more than one student check the name of the student for whom an absence is being submitted. Add the applicable dates. If you check the All Day flag attendance will be submitted for the am and pm periods. If you do not check the All Day flag times must be entered and attendance will be submitted for whichever periods meet during the time range (based on period schedule). If you use Parent Connect to report your child's absence you do not need to call the attendance line.
Friendly Reminder - Therapy Dog
We wanted to share a friendly reminder to our families about pets on school grounds. Because our school has a therapy dog, we ask that non-service animals be kept at home. This is for the safety of our therapy dog, Suzie. When Suzie is at school she is trained to do a job. When other dogs are on the property during school hours it is distracting for her and/or could put her in potential danger.
