From the Principal's office!
Happy First Friday of November Packer Families,
I know that it can be hard on families when your child/children have the day off while you need to work (trust me, I know). I want you to know that today was an amazing day of learning for our staff. This morning we learned how to be better educators by learning about different ways to present our lessons so that our students are more engaged in their learning. In the afternoon we had a chance to learn from each other about how to better support our students. It was an awesome day of learning for the adults at SSP High School and it was made possible with your support. Thank you!
Can you believe that we are already in November. Our fall activities are winding down and our winter activities are starting up. Not only are our activities winding down, so is Trimester 1. I shared with some students in the hallway yesterday that there are only 16 school days left in the trimester. Please do me a favor and ask your student how they are doing in their classes. If they need additional support please feel free to reach out to their teachers. 16 days left in trimester 1, time is flying by!
Remember, if your student is going to be absent, please (651) 457-9415 to let us know. We would really appreciate it.
Have a fantastic weekend and Go Packers!
Sincerely,
Chuck

- The doors to the building open at 7:30 AM (on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday) and 9:15 AM on Wednesday. 7:30/9:15 is when our staff is ready to assist and supervisor your student.
- Students need to be dropped off on 2nd street at door 4.
- If you are picking up your student, please understand that our doors are locked at 2:45 PM and that your student will need to be picked up by 2:45 PM. Please plan on picking your student up on 2nd Street.

W.I.N. Wednesday- What you need to know
Students who are earning a C or lower will need to attend W.I.N. Wednesday and come into school to get help in their classes. Students who are earning a C+ and above may work from home if they have their parent/guardian permission to work from home. You may always send your student to school.
All 9th graders will be required to come to school for every W.I.N. Wednesday for Trimester 1, regardless of their grades. Wednesday is still for additional support or extensions, but we really want to teach the 9th grade students how to be students.
10th grader students must come to school if they are earning a C or lower in any class. 10th grade students that are coming in for W.I.N. Wednesday must attend all their classes, no matter their grade in their classes.
11th/12th grader students must come in for the class/es that they are earning a C or lower in. Depending on their class schedule and the time of their classes, 11th/12th grader students that choose to come late or leave early must sign in and out of the high school attendance office if they choose not to attend the entire day (this is only for W.I.N. Wednesday).
Teachers will create 2 W.I.N. Wednesday folders for each week: C and lower (for Additional support), C+ and higher (extension) so your student will have work they need to complete both at home or in school.
