As we approach our next grading period, would like to remind you the critical role that grades and attendance play in your child's academic success. Consistent attendance not only helps students stay engaged with the material but also creates a sense of community and belonging in the classroom. Good grades reflect their hard work and understanding of the subjects, serving as a foundation for future learning and opportunities. Please continue to have conversations with your children about their progress, reinforcing the importance of staying on track. Together, we can help them achieve their academic goals and build a strong path toward their future. Here are a few updates and reminders:
RED RIBBON WEEK
Red Ribbon Dress Up Week is a fun and meaningful way to promote awareness about drug prevention and healthy choices among students. We hope your student will join in on the dress-up. We also encourage you to continue to talk to your child about the dangers of drugs.
CHS and CHS 9 PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes are coming up! Seniors will have retakes on Monday, Oct. 28.
Underclassmen will have theirs on Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the LGI at main campus, and Gym B at CHS 9. Students who missed their original school picture will be given a pass on retake day to come take it. Or students can go during their lunch. See the flyer below!

CLASS OF 2028 GEAR
PTO had such a good turn out on our Class of 2028 Hoodies that they've decided to do another sale!! Below are links to our hoodie sale as well as our Class of 2028 T-shirts (limited quantity available).

SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS
Join Conroe ISD for our annual Salute to Our Veterans at Woodforest Bank Stadium on Monday, November 11, at 10 AM.
BLOOD DRIVE
HOSA is hosting a Halloween blood drive on October 30th and 31st! If you are 16 and want to donate be sure to pick up a parent permission form in Mrs. Corbit’s (A2007) room or Mrs. Johnson’s room (A2005) and turn them back in before the blood drive! If you are 17 or older you can sign up to donate at lunch starting on October 21st!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
It is important that your child is in class each day unless they are ill. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed. We would also like to remind you that your child will be at risk of losing credit and parents/guardians may have to go to court due to attendance.

FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH
If you need to apply for the free and reduced lunch program please visit the Conroe ISD Child Nutrition website. If you are in need of information regarding the program please see the attached flyers for information. Students who were on free or reduced lunch year and have not filled out an application and requalified have been dropped. If you need assistance please contact ndefensor@conroeisd.net at CHS and acarlito@conroeisd.net at CHS 9.

SPIRIT NIGHTS AND FUNDRAISERS
Please help our Conroe High Clubs and Organizations by attending a CHS Spirit Night Fundraiser or supporting a fundraiser. Details are below! See the flyers under CHS Events below!
- On Tuesday, October 29, join Conroe Tiger Band for dinner of a tasty Tuesday treat from 5pm - 8pm at Dairy Queen. They will donation15% of sales if you mention Conroe Tiger Band
- On Wednesday October 30, Conroe Boys Soccer will host a spirit night at Chiller Bee-Conroe from 12-close. 30% of sales will go back to the Boys Soccer team if you mention Conroe Boys Soccer at the register.
- On Wednesday, November 7, Conroe DECA is having a fundraiser at Russo's Pizza!

Conroe Bass Fishing Club competed at THSBA Lake Somerville last weekend! Jack Cobler and Preston Wilson brought home the big win! Their hard work and dedication helped them win 1st Place Team and 1st Place School!!! Way to go guys!
Conroe Tiger Band had their UIL performance on Tuesday and they advanced to AREA!!! We are so incredibly proud of their had work and we wish them the best as they perform at area on Saturday, November 2nd!!!
Conroe Cheer Competition Team competed at NCA Cheer Competition today in San Antonio! They did an amazing job and are returning home with a 1st Place Win!!! Way to go Comp Team!!!
