Teachers, Staff, Parents, and Students,

We're on the home stretch for the first semester of the 2022-2023 school year. Students will attend classes Monday-Thursday and will be off on Friday, December 16, 2022. Students will then return on Tuesday, January 3, 2023! Our RHMS Bobcat Band did a phenomenal job with their annual Holiday Concert performances. Thank you to all our band directors for their countless hours getting our students ready for this holiday presentation. We will continue with our Fall Benchmark testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. 5th -8th grade Math will be tested on Tuesday and 8th grade Social Studies will test on Wednesday. It is of utmost importance for our RHMS students to try their very best so that we may gauge where they are academically and utilize the results to plan for our second semester. Everyone is invited to the Annual City of Rio Hondo Christmas Parade which will take place on Thursday, December 15th! Have a great week. Merry Christmas to each and every one of you! Top seller for the World's Finest Chocolates fundraiser was sixth grader, Lauren Ortega. This is the second year in a row that Lauren achieves the top seller title. Congratulations to Lauren and her parents for their great support with our fundraiser.

Coming in second place in sales was sixth grader, Ysla Loredo. Ysla received a five pound World's Finest Chocolate Bar. Congratulation to Ysla. Thank you to Ysla's parents for their support with our fundraiser.

Ms. Diana Cavazos, RHMS Assistant Principal, has oversees the World Finest Chocolates fundraiser. Here she is pictured with the top two sellers for the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you Ms. Cavazos for ensuring the success of our fundraiser.
