The PV girls cross country team came in first place at the county championship. This marks back to back championships for the girls! Congratulations to the team and Coach Dan Green!

The first marking period ends Wednesday, November 6th. Please be sure to check Realtime with your child to monitor their grades. Reach out to your child's teacher or counselor with any questions.

Thank you to all of the 8th grade parents and students who went to PTHS' Four Years and Beyond program last night. If there are any additional questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.

This year's Empty Bowls event will take place on November 11th. The purpose of Empty Bowls is to raise funds for local food charities and educate people around issues of poverty and hunger in their community. The core of the event is a dinner (on November 11th at Friendship Hall, FRC Pompton Plains) where, for a donation, guests gather to eat a bowl of soup and bread, then choose a ceramic bowl to bring home as a keepsake and reminder of the hunger that exists. Proceeds from the 2024 Empty Bowls Project will be donated to the Pequannock Food Pantry and the Grains of Hope program.

Haunted Tunnel Fundraiser

This item is a community event that is not a school event, but is sponsored by a community partner who wants to help families who are a part of our school community. A local family is hosting a haunted house with all proceeds going to support two families in our district. Here are the event details and a link to the flyer:

Date: Tunnel Opens Friday, October 25th from 7-10PM (other days and times will be posted on the The Chestnut Court Halloween Haunt Instagram and Facebook pages)

Location: 4 Chestnut Court Pequannock

Admission: Any donation appreciated

Attraction: Haunted Tunnel with scary and fun spooks.

We are accepting nominations for teacher of the year and educational services professional of the year. Please remember that services professional of the year includes instructional aide, school nurse, media specialist, school counselor, and child study team.

It is the same nomination form for both groups. If you would like to nominate someone, please use the form below and email it to john.seborowski@pequannock.org no later than November 6th at 3:00 P.M.

The PTHS Student Council is hosting a Costume Trot 5k on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 9am. The proceeds from this event will be going to the Cancer Center at Chilton Memorial Hospital. Please see the attached flyer containing all information and the QR code for sign up.

PV is hosting a cafe night on 11/15 at 6:30. Please join us!

A team of PTHS staff and students will be challenging the Brooklyn Wheelchair Nets in a fundraising game on 11/21. For more information, check out the flyer and we hope to see you on November 21st, 7-9 P.M. Tickets are $5 at the door and proceeds will benefit mental health awareness programs.

School picture retake day is November 5th. If your child missed pictures last week or would like a retake, that will be the date to do it. More information will follow.
