Ready for a GREAT year!
The children had a wonderful time bonding with old and new friends!
Great Read Alouds
We read LOTS of wonderful books. Our main focus has been about starting school and building a classroom community. The students are doing well as they are learning our classroom procedures and routines.
Working on Our Names
We are doing a variety of activities to reinforce our names. It is important to learn correct letter formation and order. We are practicing recognition of our own names and our classmates names.
In this activity we made mosaics with our names.
All About Me
It is so fun to learn more about our new family as we share the contents of our bags! We have discovered that we have friends who love Barbie dolls, have favorite colors and books, and lots of beautiful family pictures! Thank you all for participating!
Exploring our classroom
The students were able to investigate many of the learning tools we have in the room. They practiced skills and worked together as they discovered some new manipulatives.
Interactive Writing
Each student will be interviewed by their classmates. The honored student will select one topic to share on the Interactive Writing chart. Students help the teacher listen for sounds and write letters to spell words.
Here Avery is illustrating her interactive writing story.
