Dear Neihardt Families,

Millard Public Schools uses an emergency response system known as the “Standard Response Protocol” (SRP). The SRP is a series of clear, concise actions established to provide consistent vocabulary and response during emergency situations. The SRP protocols are utilized by all metro area schools and local law enforcement agencies.

The SRP language consists of five actions: “Hold”, "Secure", “Lockdown”, “Evacuate” and “Shelter”. Below you will find a copy of the parent/guardians guide that will help explain the protocols and expectations for both students and adults who may be in our schools.

This week our students watched a video covering these safety procedures as well as practiced all five drills. If you are ever in need of guidance regarding how to talk to your child at home about school safety, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mr. Duncan or me.

Hello from the Health Room!

In accordance with Nebraska State Statute, #173 NAC 7, Millard Public Schools are required to provide a health screening that includes a dental, vision, and hearing screening as well as weight and height. The health room will be doing a full screening on students in Pre-K through 4th grade. Kindergartners will only be screened for the items missing on their Kindergarten Physicals. You do have the option to opt your child(ren) out of the screening process. However, there is a form that needs to be filled out and signed by a physician before September 4th, 2024. Milk for sack lunches - $0.55

Deposits to your student's lunch account can be made several ways.

1. Lunch account deposits can be made using a debit or credit card through myschoolbucks.com. (If you enrolled at myschoolbucks.com last year, you do not have to re-enroll.) A student ID number is required to create a new account. Call the office for your student ID number if you would like to enroll.

2. Deposits can be made by cash or check in the school office anytime. Cash should be placed in a sealed envelope with your child’s full name and teacher’s name on it.
