The mission of Sioux Center Christian School is to disciple God’s children by equipping them with a knowledge and understanding of Christ and His creation so that they can obediently serve God and others as they work and play.

We continue to prioritize keeping our students safe and ask that you work with everyone else to keep our drop-off/pick-up lines as safe as possible.

1st Ave.

It is preferred that you use the pick-up/drop-off lanes on campus. (At some point in the spring Hwy 75 will be closed again, and parking will be prohibited along 1st Ave.) If you do pick-up your student(s) along 1st Ave, we ask that you remind your child(ren) to use the crosswalks to cross the street. We will insist that they do.

2nd Ave & 6th St Intersection

Also be mindful of the No Parking areas at the corner of 2nd Ave & 6th St. Please do not drop off your child(ren) in those areas. We need the entire width of the street for buses and drop-off/pick-up traffic.

We value the partnership between our parents and school! We want to invite you into the school so you can experience what’s happening in the classroom. Each grade level will be hosting a Parent Visit Day again this year. You are invited to join us for some time in the classroom and a pizza lunch on us!

6th Grade visit day will be on Friday, Jan. 24. Join us at 11:00 in the band room followed by a classroom visit and a Pizza Ranch lunch. Looking forward to seeing you then!

5th Grade visit day will be on Friday, Jan. 31. Join us at 11:00 in the band room followed by a classroom visit and pizza for lunch. Please sign up here by Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Below are the dates for the remaining Parent Visit Days this school year. Dates are subject to change depending on circumstances. More information will be sent out later.

• February 28 - 7th grade
• March 7 - 3rd grade
• March 14 - 2nd grade
• March 28 - 4th grade
• April 3 - Kindergarten
• May 1 - TK

• On January 31, Sioux Center Community will not have school so the public school buses will not be running the morning or afternoon routes. Only the Christian School buses (2014 and 2020) will be running. All other students will need transportation to and from school.

• Due to the public school having an early dismissal on some Fridays, we will be running the alternate bus route in the afternoon on the following Fridays: Feb. 28, Apr. 4, May 16.

Do you have a child who is ready to start TK or Kindergarten this fall? Make plans to attend our TK/K Round Up Parent Information meeting on Thursday, February 20, and reserve your child’s Round Up spot for Thursday, March 27, or Friday, March 28, on our website: https://www.siouxcenterchristian.com/connectwithus/tkkroundup.cfm.

Are you interested in working on the summer crew at SCCS? Looking for hardworking people that love to clean and can work together as a team. You must be 14 years of age and have completed 8th grade but will also take adult applicants. We are flexible with summer sports schedules. Hours are Monday -Thursday 8-4:30 and Friday 8-12. First day of summer cleaning is May 27, last day is approximately Aug 8. We want to share with you this report on the amazing things God is doing in our school and how giving in 2024 is impacting the lives of God’s students at SCCS. These gifts are "put to work" each day so we can carry out our vision to treasure and train His children.

In 2024, a total of $3,051,422 was given by our generous supporters!

We are excited to report that $1,617,417 was given to IGNITE the Vision for God's kids and to help build the Blazer Center. The $150,000 Gift Match was completely unlocked, so that OVER $300,000 was given in the last three weeks of 2024! Thank you to all who gave toward this match challenge!

This level of giving has propelled us past our $10M year-end milestone and we have reached $10.25 MILLION in gifts and commitments toward the $13.7M total cost of the Blazer Center! Please pray for God's continued generosity through His people in 2025.

We are also blessed to report that $1,434,005 was given to multiple funds in 2024, which all work together to provide a Christ-filled education that shapes God's young disciples for lifelong service in His Kingdom.
● $707,620 was given through church Legacy fund support
● $380,010 in needs-based financial aid was given through tuition assistance and NICSTO gifts.
● $265,442 was given to our general fund and fine arts fund through donor gifts and through grants from our Foundation and Outlet 75.
● $80,933 in gifts were directed to the SCCS Foundation through estate and donor gifts.

God is shaping lives through our living curriculum, through immersive learning experiences, through daily Christ-like rhythms and practices, through creative activity and play, and through lessons designed so that each student flourishes. Gifts from God’s people make this possible!
Today’s world needs our students. We love God's kids and we daily commit to treasure them as the unique people they are, train them to see God in everything and glorify Him in all things, so they may be transformed and active in God's world.

We are excited to share that in 2024, Outlet 75 granted a total of $115,000 in profits to Sioux Center Christian School!

A total of $468,000 has been granted since they opened in February 2019. We want to THANK our current managers (Melissa Punt, Myrna De Vries, and Kim Brenner) plus our past managers (Bethany Bosma, Janey Boogerd, and Amy Feekes) for all the ideas, time, love, and energy they have poured into making Outlet 75 an amazing place to shop!

THANK YOU also to our parent volunteers and our supporters who volunteer! When you give your time to work at Outlet 75, you are blessing every one of God’s kids at our school and helping make our Christ-filled education possible!

These grants to SCCS would not be possible without the 18 volunteers each week who give a total of 50+ hours each week to assist customers, unpack, price, and display merchandise, and much more! We are SO GRATEFUL for you and look forward to another great year together, serving God for the sake of His kids at SCCS!

• If you would like to eat lunch with your child, please contact the school 24 hours in advance of when you would like to eat. The cost for a lunch is $5.00 and can be charged to your family's lunch account as you go through the line. Thank you!

We believe all our faculty and staff are amazing and encourage you to take the time to nominate one (or more) of your children’s teachers!

Complete the nomination form (printed copies are available by the TRIP window) and return to our school office or mail to/drop off at Pella Corp. by the 25th of each month during the school year.

Each month a winner is chosen from our local schools and receives a $500 gift from Sioux Center Pella Corp, which can be used in their classroom to impact learning!
