ECMC is giving away a $500 scholarship to a student selected at random from the class of 2025. Students who are already receiving communications from ECMC are automatically entered; new students can enter by completing the form below. (Completing the form gives permission to contact the student). ECMC will award the scholarship in October.

On October 15th the ASVAB Career Exploration Test will be offered to juniors and seniors at Barlow. The ASVAB test helps students to decide on a career pathway that may fit them best using their knowledge and interests combined. The test is free, it is private- no recruiters will receive the test scores or personal information, and the student has 2 years to use the career research online tool. Sign up here to take the test on October 15th at 7:35 am and results on November 5th at 7:35 am. Students will be excused for the time they are participating.

Are you looking for an easy and convenient way to learn about colleges and their admissions process? Plan to attend the National College Fair-Portland. This event is free to any student and parents. Stop by booths and meet college reps, learn about programs, admissions, scholarships and more. All ages are welcome to attend.

Registration is open for Preview Day at PSU Saturday, October 19th. Junior or senior students who may be interested in an urban university and are considering attending PSU – this event is for you!

Future Connect application is now OPEN for students attending PCC in Fall 2025! The biggest update to the FC application is that students must apply to PCC before they can apply to Future Connect.

Each fall and spring our sophomore class is required to pratice job skills. They will complete a job application, create a resume, learn interview skills, and put them into practice with a volunteer for their own mock interview. They receive both a grade and a "Career Related Learning Experience- CRLE", needed for graduation.

If you are interested in volunteering to help interview students please email Midge Collins. Mock Interviews are 7:30am - 2:30 pm, October 24th and 25th.
