I hope you all had a wonderful winter break! Scheduling season launches this month for all students. I will send a separate email on 1/14 that will detail all information by grade level about scheduling next steps, course registration and options for each grade level.

KMS Yearbook Ordering Time! 2024-2025
It is Yearbook ordering time! The ordering window to purchase your 2024-20245 Yearbook is now open. Please go to book.hrimaging.com and follow the directions to order. The ordering deadline is February 28th. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Angela Kurtz. kurtz_angela@dublinschools.net
Pop Tabs Needed!
KMS Annual Pop Tab Drive hosted by Student Council
- Students may drop off the tabs to their Link classroom any time that is not disruptive to the class in that classroom.
- The Link class in each grade level with the most pop tabs collected will win a donut party!
- Only students who donated in the winning Link class will receive a donut.
- The pop tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus.

Get Ready to GLOW - Join us for the KMS All-School Glow Party!
Glow Party: Friday, January 24th from 6:30-8:30pm at KMS
Details:
Come for the party, stay for the GLOW, plus: an interactive DJ, raffle prizes, dodgeball, glow face painting, a photo booth, concessions, a chill zone, and glow activities!
Ticket & Raffle Sales:
Tickets are $5 and include: admission, neon bracelet, and (1) raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are $5 for 5 tickets.

Emerald Campus Open House: 1/16/25, 4-6pm
Join us to explore the learning opportunities available at Emerald Campus, including Academies, International Baccalaureate (IB) Courses, College Credit Plus (CCP), and Tolles.
This event is designed for high school students and their parents. Although most programs are tailored for 11th and 12th graders, it’s never too early to start planning for the future!
Students and parents can explore specific programs and courses, meet teachers, and learn about various opportunities.
Repeat informational presentations on district pathways, IB Diploma and Course Options, Academies, and College Credit Plus (CCP) will also be offered at 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30.

Community Week for Bishop Elementary PTO
The 22 PTOs across Dublin City Schools are collaborating to ensure the Bishop Elementary PTO can hit the ground running to serve students, staff and families. Community members may support their efforts and the Bishop PTO by participating in many dining to donate opportunities available at local establishments (See the flyer for details). Families may also donate directly through the Glacier Ridge PTO via Venmo (@GlacierRidgePTO). Learn more about their efforts here. Let’s show our #BetterTogetherDCS spirit and welcome Bishop in the biggest way possible!

Sponsored by the Dublin Chamber Civic Foundation and Dublin City Schools, these awards recognize young citizens who engage in society through leadership and service, and honor students and staff members of Dublin City Schools who exemplify the best of volunteerism, character, leadership, and a sense of caring and responsibility for others. Community Champion Scholarships Available
Scholarship Awards for seniors wishing to continue their education or enter post-high school career training or development are available here. Deadline to submit is February 21, 2025.

National Veterans Memorial and Museum Events over MLK Weekend
Battle of the Bulge: 80 Years Later: Step into history and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge with an immersive experience. This is an incredible opportunity for students to connect with the past in a hands-on, engaging way.

Admission: $8 per person (Free for children 5 and under, Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and Gold Star Families)
MLK Jr. Day of Service: Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with a day of reflection and community service.

DCS Instrument Recycling Program
Dublin City Schools is pleased to introduce our Instrument Recycling Program. Families may drop off used instruments to the Emerald Campus any time during business hours. If you have an old instrument your child is no longer using, we would love to have it to share with another student. We will ensure it is properly cleaned and repaired if necessary. We thank you in advance for your donation. A donation receipt will be provided upon request at the time of drop-off.
