QUICK LINKS
PRINCIPAL'S NOTE:
Dear Spartans
As we are nearing the end of the first marking period (MP1), this is an excellent time to have a conversation with your student about their academic progress. Please check Parent Connect. If your student appears to be struggling, do not hesitate to contact a teacher, counselor, or administrator. Spartan Time is a good time for students to take advantage of additional support.
Students will be given Common Summative Assessments (CSA’s) in every class at the end of each marking period. MP1 CSA’s will take place on Wednesday 10.25.23 (Hours 1,3,5) & Thursday 10.26.23 (Hours 2,4,6). These are full days of school. There will be no Spartan Time on Thursday 10.26.23.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Fall Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday 11.2.23.
· 1:00-4:00 pm – Virtual Conferences – Appointment only
· 5:00-8:00 pm – In Person Conferences – Appointment only
The link to sign up will be shared with the families on Monday 10.23.23 at NOON (12 PM). Appointments are required for both sessions. Staff will be in their classroom/office for both sessions.
½ Days – Wednesday 11.1.23 (Hours 1,2,3) & Thursday 11.2.23 (4,5,6)
Dismissal time is 10:35 am. No Spartan Time either day.
Lost & Found
We have moved our Lost and Found Locker to inside the South Cafeteria. If your student is missing a hoodie, water bottle, backpack, etc., they can try the locker first. Electronic devices (phones & ear buds) are stored in the Business Office. Any items left in the locker at the end of MP1 will be donated to charity.
I want to say thank you to our families for being respectful and not using the bus loop in the morning for drop off prior to 7:15 am. This is necessary for LPS transportation to stay on schedule. Additionally, thank you for being respectful of our request to not to use the Church parking lot as a staging area for after school pick up. Our operations can not impact their programs and services.
All the best!
Pete Mazzoni
