Principal's Update
Yellow Jacket Community,
Last week was a great week to be a Yellow Jacket! Our students excelled in the classroom, the auditorium, the stage, the court, and the field. We have a packed schedule on and around campus to close out the final two weeks of the semester and look forward to finishing strong!
I would like to give a huge shout-out to our football team and a thank you to everyone that made the trip to Ft. Lauderdale to watch our Jackets take on American Heritage. I think there were more Jackets fans at the game than Patriots fans! It is important to acknowledge that successful runs like our football team has had do not happen overnight. They are the result of planning, preparation, organization, and years of hard work. We're extremely proud of Coach Braddock and our team for an incredible season!
We are also extremely proud of Dr. Dotson and his guitar students for putting together an incredible performance last Tuesday night. This was Dr. Dotson's first official show as SJCCA Guitar Director and his students performed incredibly!
Also in the SJCCA-world, our Theatre students performed "Every Christmas Story Ever Told" over the weekend. This was a showcase of our incredibly talented performers using a range of acting skills and techniques. It was perfection on stage!
Finally, SAHS showed strong at the St. Augustine Christmas Parade! Our JROTC and Ancient City Regiment looked and sounded amazing!
While we love highlighting all the incredible things our students do outside the classroom, it's important to remember they are students first. Our students have two more weeks left in the semester. Please remember to check HAC and Schoology for grading and assignment updates. Please do not hesitate to contact any member of our SAHS faculty for questions and support. We want every student to achieve success and reach their full potential!
Together,
Travis Brown - Principal - St. Augustine High School

Reality Fair This Thursday
Friday, December 20th is Dedicated to Remediation and Re-Takes
- Friday, December 20th is the final day of the first semester. School will dismiss at 2:55pm on this day. All classes on the 20th will be focused on retakes to provide students one final opportunity to improve their grades before the semester ends. The focus will be for students to improve grades that are "C" and below. We understand that all students will not have assessments to retake or make-up so we have devised a form for families to ease the check-out process. The form can be submitted to the front office or emailed to theresa.nelson@stjohns.k12.fl.us
