Meet the Principal: Dr. Cindy Bennett
Dr. Bennett grew up in Carrollton Georgia and attended school at Central Elementary, Middle, and High School. She received her Bachelor's degree in 1996 and her Masters degree in 2001, both in Middle Grades Education from the University of West Georgia. In 2006, she received a second Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix and in 2011 Dr. Bennett graduated from Argosy University with a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Bennett has been married to her husband, Chris, for 24 years. They have two children, Carsten and Cade, who both attended school in the Coweta County School System. Carsten is a recent graduate of the University of West Georgia with a major in elementary education. Cade is a senior at East Coweta High School who plans to attend the Path to Tech program at the University of West Georgia next year. Dr. Bennett has two dogs, Copper and Cocoa. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and running.
Dr. Bennett has received numerous awards and recognitions during her career, including being named the 2019 Coweta County School System Principal of the Year.

Who is Blake Bass?
Blake Bass is a native of Newnan, Georgia and a graduate of the Coweta County School System. He was a 35 year educator and during his career was a teacher, coach, principal, central office administrator and superintendent of the Coweta County School System. He retired in 2011.
Mr. Bass is a member of the Newnan Kiwanis Club where he served as president. In 2019, he was Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis for the Georgia District. He is a past member of the Coweta Community Foundation. Currently, Mr. Bass serves on the University of West Georgia Athletic Foundation Board of Directors as well as the Coweta County Sports Hall of Fame.
In 2011, Mr. Bass was recognized by the community as Citizen of the Year. Also, in 2011, he was honored with the Richard Brooks Visionary Award of Distinction by the Patrons of the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts.
Mr. Bass earned his B.A. Degree in History from West Georgia College. He also earned his Masters and ED.S Degree in Administration and Supervision from West Georgia College. He holds certification through the Superintendent’s Professional Development Program through the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Schools Superintendents Association.
Blake Bass is currently employed by the University of West Georgia as an Educational Consultant.
