This month’s focus is Cooperation. One way to think about Cooperation is “working together to reach shared goals.” As a family, talk about how this definition applies to how you work together at home. What are some goals you share? Cooperation is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Kind. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like perspective-taking, conflict resolution, and leadership.

Many, many thanks to our students, families, and community for your enthusiasm and generosity in raising funds for this year's Walk-a-Thon! We had a great time in some of the last sunny weather of the year.

If we exceeded our school goal of raising $10,000, Principal Salinas agreed to kiss a pig! During our assembly this week, she followed through on her promise. Both she and Vivian the pig were very good sports. Thank you to Graves Family Pigs for bringing Vivian!

If you have any gently-used clothes your family has outgrown, the front office would love to contribute them to our supply of extra clothes. We're only able to take clean donations in good condition, since they go to students who need a change of clothes during the day. Thank you for your generosity!

Bring the family and join us for Fall Literacy Night! We'll be enjoying food, fun, games, and awesome baskets for raffle, in addition to a dinner of pizza and salad. We hope to see you there!
