Welcome to week 8 of the 3rd Quarter! We are only two weeks from the end of this quarter and spring break. Thank you all for your flexibility and understanding as we continue on our path. We have established goals that will be easily accomplished with your continued support.

This week , we will enjoy our "Are You Smarter than a 3rd Grader" program. It is a culminating activity for our 3rd grader students' last semester in the 1-3 hallway. Please join us Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 6:30 PM for a wonderful show!

Thank you to the SBDM board and staff that joined us in last week's board meeting to prepare for our annual Campus Needs Assessment. We are always monitoring data and feedback to make meaningful improvements here on campus.

This week our campus SEL focus is on "Believe in every step." We will be encouraging our students to believe in themselves as they move forward with this school year. This coming weekend, magnet application results will be released. In addition to entrance into Dealey, our 8th grade students will be receiving their high school acceptance letters as well. Please help me in showing kindness to others regardless of the outcomes. We are excited about welcoming our new Dealey Dragons!

From the creators of Junie B. Jones The Musical, Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up. Written in a “show-within-a-show” format, Dear Edwina JR. is the perfect story for a new generation.

Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of plucky, advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends through clever, catchy and poignant songs.

Book and Lyrics by Marcy Heisler. Music by Zina Goldrich. Dear Edwina JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
