The Shark Tells

Welcome back to school, Sharks!

In approximately two weeks, we will begin a new semester. I hope one of the New Year's resolutions students have is to read more. A simple graphic from social media gives three reasons to read more in 2023.

The 8th Grade Shark Singers performed at The Carolina Opry right before Christmas break and did an outstanding job! They behaved very professionally and really represented SJMS well. The students had the opportunity to meet Delvin Choice, who was a runner up on The Voice and who also performs at The Opry. He spoke to all the kids and then took a photo with us and Briell Cuocco got to wear his hat :) During the show they invited kids to the stage and some of the students got to sing with some of the main performers including Brad Long who announced that he went to SJMS when he was young.
