Hello Riverview Families,

I hope your holiday season was a great one! As we return from Winter Break, we're looking forward to working with you as we continue to serve our students. Ongoing communication and active involvement are key to making strong partnerships between home and school. There are many ways to become involved in your child's school experience. The following are some of the opportunities for parents/guardians to become involved in creating and maintaining strong partnerships through the remainder of the 2024-25 school year:

• Ongoing/Two-way communication - All teachers utilize skyward, email and phone calls to communicate with parents. These platform allows teachers to share classroom reminders, events and updates as well as private communication between individual parents and the teacher.
• Parent/Teacher Conferences – Our next Parent/Teacher conference will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 3pm to 7pm. Additional conferences can be arranged at any other time throughout the year by contacting your child’s teacher.
• Communication Home: SMORE Parents' Newsletters, Reminders, Special Event Flyers, etc. These items are sent home via email to help keep you informed regarding the news and events of your child’s school. Please make sure we have the email address that you check regularly for these important notices as email is our primary communication tool for school-wide business/information.
• Twitter & The Plymouth School District Web Page – We regularly posted updates, reminders and school events on my twitter page and the district web page. Follow us so you don’t miss a beat!
  
• Volunteer opportunities!
  • Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles within our school. Field trip Chaperones, Classroom substitutes, (more info. listed below), Lunch and Recess supervisors are all opportunities for parents and guardians to get involved. Your assistance is always appreciated! There is no better way to feel connected to your child’s education and have a positive impact on the entire class. Background checks are required for all volunteers in our school district.
