9/15 - First day of Hispanic Heritage Month

9/17- Back to School Night for Select LBUSD Elementary Schools( not Gompers ). This will be a minimum day- Dismissal for all elementary students 2PM

9/24- Scholar of the Month- You will receive an invite from your child's teacher.

9/27 Gompers' Night at Angel Stadium (see flyer below)

This is a reminder to PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY in our pick-up and drop off areas. Our priority is to keep our scholars safe. We would rather your child arrive a few minutes late than there be an accident. Please remember the following:

• DO NOT Double Park- Drive up ahead and park or drop off at the crosswalk.
• Please do not park across the street from the school and let your child run across. I cannot tell you how dangerous this is and you can be cited by LASD.

We are our child's first teacher and role model as parents/caregivers. Please remember to behave in a professional and respectful manner in front of our students. They watch the adults around them and learn how to handle conflict. At school we are teaching the students to handle conflict by articulating their concern/s and to have respectful dialogue with one another. Help support our Community Expectation of Respectful Dialogue and Behavior Norms.
