Cubs Celebrate American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month
In 1990, President George H.W. Bush declared the month of November American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month, commonly known as Native American Heritage Month. This month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories, and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native Americans. Heritage month is also opportunity to educate the public about tribes, and to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.

Ice Cream Day at Garfield!
In celebration of doing amazing on the CUSD CLASSI Campus Catering is supporting our Cubs with a special treat!
Garfield placed #1 out of 34 elementary schools in the Clovis Unified CLASSI assessment for the 2024 school year! This award recognizes the achievement of our students in English language arts, mathematics, science, and physical fitness. To celebrate, Campus Catering will be serving Birthday Cake Ice Cream Cones as a part of their hot lunch offerings on Wednesday, November 13th. This is special just for our school! Great job Cubs! This might be a great day to eat hot lunch!
