Dear Primary Families,

Open House is on Wednesday the 28th and we are so excited to see you!

• Sign up for an open house time as the sign ups close the end of the day on Monday.
• Open house will be from 3:00 - 6:30.
• Bring school supplies to your classroom on open house day to limit what students need to carry the 1st day of school.
• School pictures are during open house, so get pictures taken in the gym.
• Many clubs and sports will be in the cafeteria, including a book fair, so be sure to visit the cafeteria.
• Center City's Swine BBQ Food Truck will be parked out front in the bus loop with some tables in the K/1 playground - so feel free to enjoy some dinner!
• Girl Scouts will be on the K/1 playground to celebrate the work they did, painting activities on the pavement for kids to play! We can't wait to see students use it!

Your child's bus route information will be released in ParentVue on Tuesday, August 27th. Make sure to connect with the bus garage on any transportation changes or questions. The transportation department can be reached by phone at 651-213-2020 or email WArmstrong@isd2144.org.

We're getting things ready for a new school year! During Open House on Wednesday, August 28, we are hosting a PaperPie Book Fair! Be sure to check it out in the Cafeteria. Preview the books or shop online by visiting: shellysbooks.com.

Any first grader who participated in the "Color your World with Books!" summer reading program can turn in their log at Open House in the Cafeteria. If you would like more information about the program or need a new reading tracker, click here.

There are 2 links to inform you of the drop-off and pick-up procedures for the car line. Consider previewing the route when you come for open house. This year, we are going to work hard at reminding families to not pause or park in front of our neighbor's driveways. We want to be a friendly school community!

Teacher placements for the 2024-25 school year have been released through ParentVue (our student information system for parents). Kindergarten and new families have been emailed login information and instructions. Teacher requests were accepted in April of last year and were taken into consideration when assigning teachers. All students have been assigned to their new teacher for this school year.

K/1 school supply list can be found on the Primary Website. In addition, many area retailers have a paper copy of the supply list.

The first day of school for Kindergarten and 1st grade students is Tuesday, September 3rd. Primary School hours are 9:15 am - 3:40 pm.

At Chisago Lakes School District, we utilize SchoolMessenger in order to get our important messages out to our families. In addition to emails and phone calls, we utilize the texting feature for school delays/closings, transportation (late buses), and other emergency situations.
