4th Grade Symphony
On Jan. 26th Mrs. Crabb's fourth grade class had the opportunity to attend the Missoula Symphony. This year's production was Harry Potter and His Magical Orchestra Journey. The composers of the production were Paul Dukas who composed "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and John Williams who composed "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The Missoula Symphony puts on the productions for fourth grade classes in the area and is a great opportunity for our aspiring musicians to see a live performance. Our own Mr. Jacobsen is also a part of the symphony so the students were able to watch him perform!
Shadows
Leading up to Groundhog's Day Mrs. Hanson's Kindergarten Class has had loads of fun learning about shadows this week. We have explored where the sun comes up, its position in the sky during the day, and where the sun sets. We talked about what a prediction is and then made our prediction for the groundhog after we watched the weather forecast in Punxsutawney, PA for the week. The upper grades also passed down a shadow puppet theater which we used after creating our own puppets.
