Middleton Update
Middleton Elementary | October 12, 2023
Middleton Families,
It's been a quick week but a great one. Students in the Skills Center got in the fall spirit when the pumpkin patch came to Middleton. Each student selected and decorated their own pumpkin. It was a blast!
We hope you enjoy the long weekend and look forward to seeing you next week.
With appreciation,
Mili

National School Bus Safety Week Info - October 16-20
Next week is National School Bus Safety Week! Our district’s Transportation Services Department prides themselves on their consistent focus on safety, which includes:
Safety systems and upgrades on our fleet of school buses
Ongoing training for bus drivers -- not only on safe driving practices, but also on safety topics such as first aid and CPR!
Annual school bus evacuation drills for all district students, ensuring that even those students who may only ride buses occasionally (such as for field trips) are also aware of bus safety procedures
In honor of this week, students are invited to participate in the annual National School Bus Safety Poster Contest hosted by the National Association for Pupil Transportation. Volunteer Background Checks
Every volunteer in Sherwood School District must have a criminal background check completed each school year (July 1-June 30). Background checks take 7-10 business days to process. Background checks are required for each school year, so background checks completed prior to July 1, 2023 are not valid for the 23-24 school year.
Once your background checks clear, names are added to the approved volunteer list for all SSD schools. Please note: no approval notice goes out to cleared volunteers, so if you have questions about your submission or want to confirm your background check has been processed and approved, please contact the office of the school you would like to volunteer
To complete the volunteer approval process for 2023-24, please complete the form below:
