2025-2026 Teacher Requests
It is hard to believe we are already at the point in the year when we begin planning next year's class lists. We would like to explain our expectation for parent requests in class placement for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Parents need to submit a request on the Google Form by Friday, March 21 at 8:00 a.m. The form will be turned off after March 21 and requests will no longer be accepted.
- Please enter a form for each child separately.
- You may not request a teacher by name. If you request a teacher by name, it will not be honored.
- Please describe the learning style of your child and what type of teacher you feel best matches your child's learning style.
- If there are other students you don't want your child placed with, you may request this. Please give the reason why these students shouldn't be placed together. This request will need to be made annually by a parent.
2025 SCE Support Staff of the Year
Angela Shirley from the House of Rhodonite was nominated and voted for by her peers to be Stone Creek's 2025 Support Staff of the Year. Angela serves as a Building IA and her duties include subbing in classrooms, teaching small groups, and supporting students who need extra help. Congratulations Angela!
2025 SCE Amazing Shake Competition
The Amazing Shake is a dynamic and exciting live competition that rallies leaders and role models in a school's community. It places an emphasis on teaching students manners, discipline, respect, and professional conduct.
Congratulations to Stone Creek's 2025 Amazing Shake Winner Landon Shelmire! Landon is in Mrs. Grimshaw's 5th grade class and is in the House of Malachite. We are so proud of all the students that participated.
We would like to take this time to thank all of the WSD staff, students, and community members judging the competition. We couldn't do it without you!
Read Across America Week
Stone Creek will celebrate Read Across America Week March 3-7. Read Across America week is celebrated to promote reading and literacy, especially for children. To encourage our SCE Dragons to read more, we will celebrate with a different theme each day.
Dragon's Chest Store
We will be making some slight changes to the way the Dragon's Chest (House Store) will operate at Stone Creek. Rather than opening every Friday before school starts, the Dragon's Chest will be accepting orders on a continuous basis. To place an order, your student will need to get an order form from the office or you may print one off from our school website. Order forms should be sent to school in an envelope completed and with the required money to pay for their order. Envelopes can be turned into the House mailboxes near the trophy case in the front lobby. Please make sure that your child's name and classroom teacher's name is clearly listed on the envelope so your order can be completed properly. House Leaders will fulfill orders as they come in and place purchased items in the teacher's mailbox to be sent home. Our House Leaders look forward to filling orders that are received!
Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to Megan Abramczyk for being Stone Creek's February Volunteer of the Month! Megan will receive preferential parking in our Volunteer of the Month parking spot and a Fast Pass for the month of March. Together, our volunteers took 6.5 HOURS of work off of our teacher's plates for the month of February so they could spend more time with their families. We're up to an astonishing 196 hours given back to teachers for the school year! Thanks again to ALL of our volunteers for filling in the missing piece to our puzzle, we appreciate you!
If you are interested in volunteering, just ask in the front office. We would love more help!

Prop L
The Wentzville School District Board of Education voted unanimously to place Proposition L – a zero-rate-change bond initiative – on the April 8, 2025, ballot. If passed, Prop L would address facility needs across the district by funding enhanced safety and security measures district-wide; renovating legacy buildings such as Heritage Elementary, Wentzville Middle, and Holt High School; resurfacing all WSD elementary playgrounds to improve accessibility; replacing turf at Holt, Liberty, and Timberland high schools' athletic fields; and more. Learn how Prop L would impact our school at wsdlegacy.com.
