The Scoop
Week of May 12th-16th
Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people
Thank you parents for your support in making all the delicious foods. Students did an outstanding job in their social studies presentation today. Can you believe we only have 2 more weeks to go?? Students are still busy learning. In math, second grade is working on addition and subtraction equations, multistep word problems and we ended the week working on identifying repeated addition for equal groups. In reading both grades worked on fiction and nonfiction passages focusing on skills like: setting, theme, sequencing. The focus in spelling was long (o) team (ow). Third graders are learning about perimeter, finding perimeter of different figures and determining an unknown side of length. The focus in spelling this week was (aw) pattern with (ough& oa). Look at the pictures below to get a glimpse of our successful social studies project.
