This week's school attendance: 94.5%
School attendance so far this year: 95.1%
Classes of the week: 2M 99.3% & 6LH 100%
Well done to 2M and 6LH.
A reminder that, as a school, we are aiming for at least 96% attendance. Thank you for your support in this.

Well done Year 6
A huge well done to Year 6 this week who have worked so hard on their SATs tests. Their attitude this week has been amazing and they should all feel really proud of themselves. A reminder to all though that:
SATs don't measure sports
SATs don't measure art.
SATs don't measure music,
Or the kindness in your heart.
(Haydee Waldron Jones)
Thank you
Thank you once again for all of your support in the half marathon fundraising. The run was a hot one but we all got around! We have raised approximately £2400 which will really help the school to enhance the outdoor learning provision further and also go towards some new team sports kits. If anyone has any ideas for next year's staff fundraising challenge, we are open to suggestions! (not a full marathon however!)
Save the date - school summer fair
Hopefully you will have noticed on our list of important diary dates that we are holding a summer fair on Monday 22nd July. This will take place after school on the school playground and field. We are planning stalls and activities such as 'whack a rat', soak the teacher and even alpaca trekking! We have booked Altreka - an alpaca walking business based in Baildon - to join us at the fair. Children (and adults) will be able to walk with the alpacas and have photos taken with them.
Online safety resource for younger children
Sometimes it's hard to know how to approach online safety with younger children. Jessie and Friends is a great resource that parents and carers can use to engage with younger children about worrying or frightening situations online. When children answer a question correctly they earn a star and can download a certificate to colour in.

Mental health matters - apps to help
Although this week has been mental health awareness week, helping children manage their health and wellbeing is a top priority all year round. Nothing can beat getting out in the fresh air, meeting friends and having fun, but some children may find apps useful for things such as learning about emotions, managing anxiety etc. There are thousands of these types of apps, but, to help, we have put together a list which gives details such as: suitable ages, purpose, how the app works and (where applicable) the cost.
