MES Family Update

We have been seeing cases of the flu and stomach bug.

Tips to help prevent illness:

• Hand washing (especially before eating and after using the restroom)

• Stay home if you are sick. Avoid close contact with individuals who are sick.

• Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or cough/sneeze into an elbow.

When to return to school:

• Improvement of symptoms

• After 24 hours free of fever, diarrhea and vomiting

• After 24 hours of starting antibiotic

Friday, February 14th is Mrs. LaCroix's last day at MES. We wish her the best of luck as she leaves MES.

On Wednesday, February 12th Ms. Brenda McGovern will be starting with us to shadow Mrs. LaCroix and learn the front office. Please be sure to continue to have your ID when picking up your student early from school as she gets to know our family and students.

Our grade 2 students had staff and Officer Seamus McDoodle from the Blackstone Regional Animal Shelter at our school to help kick off the drive the they are doing for the shelter. This is part of their social studies units. We are inviting our school community to participate in the drive as we collect items that the shelter needs. Last year, they handled approximately 200 adoptions through the shelter. Please help if you are able.

Our School goal was 47% Puzzle Goal Progress and our school made 63%

***All classes met the goal.

Keep it up! Our goal this week is 50%.
