As such, we need to ensure students have appropriate practice for their new testing environment.
During the month of February we will be administering the STAAR Interim Assessment which is a TEA created assessment that provides a predictor for scholar performance on STAAR. ALL virtual students will be expected to report to campus to take the assessment.
We have secured several rooms that will be used solely for administering the assessment and social distancing protocols will be followed.
** Interim Testing will take place on February 1st-3rd. ALL make ups will need to be scheduled.
February 1st: 5th Grade Science
February 2nd: 3rd-5th Math
February 3rd: 3rd-5th Reading
Students will arrive at 8:30 and will be immediately sent to their testing room. Students MUST wear a mask and will following the screening process in place. This will be the room they will stay in during the entirety of their time on campus. This room will not be used for any other purposes. Students will test from 9:00-12:30.
Students will be picked up in the front of the building at 12:30. A water and light snack will be provided if requested by the student.
Should your child have extra time as per their accommodations through 504 of SPED we will assign them a different testing room so as to provide them the additional time. If they utilize the extra time, lunch will be delivered to their room.
If for any reason your child can not report to campus on these assigned days please communicate with your child's teacher ASAP.

Want to see your student’s grades and report cards? Log into HAC!
As we prepare to release progress reports and report cards this fall, we wanted to remind you how to check your child’s grades on the Home Access Center.
The key is to log into the myspringisd portal and into HAC. There you will find a Grades tab. When you click on that, you will see where to locate your child’s progress report (IPR), report cards and more.
Remember, the username and password you use to log into the portal is the same username and password for logging into HAC. Also, parents should log in using their credentials, not their student’s.
Staying connected with your child’s academic progress is a great way to ensure your student’s success in school. By monitoring and encouraging, you can help support your child’s performance.
See the attached handouts in English and Spanish for step-by-step directions.
