Looking Back on Last Week
Cowboy Boots
This week in PreK students learned more about what cowboys do, wear, animals on the ranch, and what tools cowboys use like lassos, horses, and dogs. Jemma's dad brought by cattle dog, ZZ, and told the kids more about life as a cowboy.
Math Tournament
Last week Geometry and Algebra II students competed in an online math tournament hosted by Good Hope High School. To compete, the students were required to take a timed exam with challenging content. The top 4 team scores were added to determine school winners and individual student scores were used to determine top students.
Congratulations to our Algebra II Team on placing 3rd in the competition! Top scoring students in Algebra II were: Asa Haynes (3rd Place), Ariana Siegel, Zoe Powell, and Aby Robertson. Top scoring students in Geometry were: Wesley Korsmo, Rylee Stubbs, Sawyer Owens, and Hannah Current.
Skill Drills
Surprise Snow
Hands On Learning Labs
Science labs in Mrs. Adams' Anatomy class are a great example of creating an environment for students to gain deeper understanding of concepts. This week, through dissections, students learned more about how the heart works and how incredible God's design is.
Speed and Agility
Upper school athletes are working on their footwork this spring with Coach Cydney and Coach Nikki. Speed and agility drills are a great way to enhance performance and stay in shape.
Daddy-Daughter Dance
Dads, grand-dads, uncles, and more had a great time dancing the night away with their pretty princesses! The annual Daddy-Daughter Dance has become a crowd favorite as these men take the opportunity to show their little ladies how they should be treated and how much they are loved. This year there were over 120 princesses in attendance!
Thank you, Mrs. Nikki for the pictures!
Thank you, CCS Class Ambassadors for helping with the event!
Thank you, Mrs. Candase for organizing everything!
Thank you, Mrs. Brittany, Mrs. Becky and PTF for the yummy snacks!

Holy cow! What a surprise!
Special thank you to our Cullman Chick-fil-A for letting the cows join the dance party on Saturday night! The girls loved the surprise and had fun spinning around on the dance floor with them.
Popcorn Thank You
Special thank you to the Cullman AMC Theater for providing popcorn for the dance. Nothing beats freshly popped, buttery movie theater popcorn! What a treat!

-------------------------
Several students have asked about the rules for inviting a date.
- Non-CCS student guests must be approved. Permission forms are available from Mrs. Yearwood.
- For guests younger than high-school age, ultimately this permission is up to the student's parent(s).
Tell Your Friends!
Open enrollment for NEW STUDENTS will officially begin on March 1st! We will begin processing new applications for remaining seats not reserved by existing students at this time. The waiting list for this process is already filling up so if you have friends who have expressed interest, please encourage them to get started with the online application at https://www.cullmanchristian.org/applications .
Steps to Enrollment:
- School Tour - We recommend that new families schedule a tour to meet with school administrators and learn more about CCS.
- Online Application - All prospective students must complete an application online at https://www.cullmanchristian.org/applications . The fee for this application is $175.
- Student Shadowing - Spending the day in classes is a great way for potential students to see what a day at CCS is like. This is a good way to help a potential student/family see if it's a good fit before making a significant financial commitment.
- Academic Screening - Once an application has been submitted, the prospective student will be scheduled for an academic screener.
- School Records - Records from the current school will be requested. This request will include grades, attendance, discipline, and recommendation.
- Remaining Documents - Any remaining required documents (i.e. birth certificate, immunizations, etc.) must be submitted.
- Admission Decision - When all data has been collected, the CCS Admission Committee reviews each prospective student application. Resulting decision information is sent to the parent.

Re-Enrollment Reminder
The re-enrollment period for priority seating for the 2025-2026 school year is almost over! Only a handful of applications are remaining.
Existing families re-enroll using their Gradelink account. Log in to your Gradelink account using a web browser (not the app) and click the โRe-Enrollโ tab. It will walk you through the current information we have on file and ask you to update any information that has changed or may be missing. At the end, you will pay the $125 re-enrollment fee. Thatโs it! If you have forgotten or lost your login information, please reach out and we will email it to you.
After February 28th remaining seats for 2025-2026 will be processed through the open enrollment period.
The CHOOSE Act (Alabama's School Choice Act)
By now you should have heard that Alabama lawmakers passed a new education savings account program, the CHOOSE Act, earlier this year. They have now launched a new website that provides the latest information about the program, including eligibility information.
The family application process for the 2025-2026 school year opened on January 2, 2025 and will close on April 7, 2025.
Funding for eligible students includes up to $7,000 per participating student enrolled in a participating school. CCS is an approved, participating school.
Visit the link below for more information.
Proof of Enrollment for the Alabama CHOOSE Act
If you have applied for the Alabama Choose Act, you will soon be receiving an email from info@factsmgmt.com requesting you to upload proof of enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. To receive this proof of enrollment, first you need to have re-enrolled your child for next school year and paid the re-enrollment fee.
Once that has been completed, please email Mrs. Smothers at jada.smothers@cullmanchristian.com and she will send you the proof that you will need.

2nd Chance at Free College Admission Apps

Graduation Supplies
Senior Parents: It's almost time for graduation supply orders. Be on the lookout for information coming soon about supply orders (cap/gown, diploma, regalia, etc.). Commencement exercises will be here before we know it!
Dual Enrollment for 2025-2026
Rising 11th and 12th grade students had a working lunch meeting with Mrs. Yearwood on Friday to learn more about dual enrollment opportunities for 2025-2026. This conversation will continue over the next few weeks. Please start praying now for the right opportunities and the right instructors to be put in place for the coming year for our students!
View the information covered in this meeting HERE.
Course Registration for 2025-2026 (Upper School)
Over the next couple of weeks, Mrs. Yearwood will be meeting with upper school students about selecting courses for next year. With increased enrollment interest and the growing need for additional instructors, we would like to begin planning the schedule and desired course electives a little earlier than normal.
We humbly ask for our parents to be praying about the additional teachers that we are asking God to prepare and send to CCS.
Just to make sure that you read all the way to the bottom.... ๐
