Grade 9 Classroom Presentation and Parent Night
The week of December 2nd, school counselors visited 9th grade English classes for their Fall Lesson. Counselors discussed graduation requirements, credits and the importance of earning strong grades, college entrance requirements and much more. Here is a copy of the presentation. Seniors and Financial Aid
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and CADAA (Ca Dream Act Application) are now available for families to complete to receive assistance in funding post-high school education. Click here for FAFSA FAQ's. Ventura College's financial aid office can help you complete this step with help from professionals regardless of if you plan to attend VC next year or now. Check their website for details.
FTHS Family Work Party
Join the Wellness Team, the Environmental, Interact and Garden Club plus the PFSO for a FTHS Family Work Party as we clean the side yard to prepare for new gardens and beautify our campus. The event will be from 12-4 p.m. Students can register here to earn Saturday School credit. Please check Principal Johnson’s Weekend Message and the Daily Bulletin for more details and family sign-up opportunities!

FTHS Wellness Week
Next week, FTHS will celebrate Spirit and Wellness Week. Wellness events will be in the quad during FIRE/Lunch. We have several events planned for our students on each day. Here is a list:
Monday, December 9th - Wear your holiday PJ's and Sleep Day/make a lavender sachet
Tuesday, December 10th - Wear your holiday accessories and create a Peace of Mind Toolkit
Wednesday, December 11th - Petting Zoo/Crafts Day - Grinch or Nightmare Before Christmas Attire
Thursday, December 12th - Gingerbread house building, bubble break and wear your ugly holiday sweater
Friday, December 13th - Santa's Workshop spirit wear
Wellness Peers Update
In November, the Wellness Peers presented at the Youth-2-Youth Conference hosted by the California School-Based Health Alliance, showcasing how collaboration with partners enhances their activities and events. They also gained valuable tips from fellow students on how to improve youth-led wellness programming.
