Cecilton Elementary Update
September 29, 2024
It's the LAST Week for our FALL FUNDRAISER - Orders Due THIS FRIDAY!
We are quickly approaching the end of our fall fundraiser and still have quite a distance to meet our goal. We need your help! The last date to turn in order forms is October 4, 2024. If you have yet to participate in the fundraiser, it's not too late to help us reach our goal. Please register your student at shopfund.com, and your student will receive 3 free prizes just for registering and sharing.
Keep in mind that out-of-town families can easily support the fundraiser at www.ShopFund.com and have the items delivered directly to their home. That makes it easy on you as the sponsor!
The funds raised will support PTO expenses AND MORE IMPORTANTLY
- bring family oriented events, such a Family Bingo and the Tiger Trials, to all families
- allow us the funds to purchase a t-shirt for ALL students so that they can easily participate in school spirit days
- make a donation towards the purchase of a new audio system for school events.
This is a challenging year financially for everyone, so anything you can do financially or otherwise to support our organization as we work to support the children and the school would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Linzy Olivencia, PTO President
It's That Time... TRUNK OR TREAT
If you are interested in sponsoring a trunk, please complete the form below and send it in to the main office at Cecilton Elementary School or to the Cecilton Town Hall. We look forward to seeing these spooktacular trunks! This event is being sponsored by the Cecilton Elementary School PTO, Cecilton Town Hall, Cecilton Lion's Club, Upper Bay Ruritan's, and the Cecilton Volunteer Fire Company. Please consider volunteering your time and/or talents to one or more of these worthwhile and service oriented community organizations. When we all work together, we can move mountains for our children.
Candy Donations
The Cecilton community organizations are now accepting donations of candy to be distributed at the Trunk or Treat event. Please bring your donations to the Cecilton Elementary School to the school office or by sending them in by "backpack express." Thank you for helping our community come together to make this event special for our children.

Positive Behavior Intervention System
Our students in grades 3-5 cashed out their Passports on Friday. Students were able to choose from a variety of rewards based on the number of points they earned by showing their pride - Respectful, Responsible and Safe. Some of the rewards students chose were extra gym time, show and tell, and picking from the treasure box. Ask your child how many points they earned and what they chose as their reward. Our next cash out for grades 3-5 will be October 3. Grades K-2 cashed out on September 26.
Thank you to the families who were able to attend our first school wide PBIS breakfast last Wednesday morning. Families learned about the changes to our PBIS program and about how to implement a similar system at home! Thanks to Title 1 funding, we were able to provide breakfast and materials to all families. If you would like to learn about our PBIS program (and much more) please plan to attend our school Open House on Wednesday, October 16th.
