Principal Message
Dear Parents and Students of Our Lady of Perpetual Help,
It was a big week at OLPH. We announced our Prefects for the year, so congratulations to those student leaders. Our Halloween celebrations also went off very well, with an even higher proportion of students in costume than last year. We hope everyone had a great time Halloween evening.
Next week is busy too, with Parent-Teacher Interviews and, of course, our fall break on the horizon. Kids just need to keep their eyes on the ball (their studies) for one more week before they get a well-earned break. Praying you all have a beautiful weekend.
In Christ,
Mr. Johnson
Principal

House Shield Contest
We recently completed our House Shield Design Contest and were pleased with the many, many submissions across all grade levels. A small team of carefully trained staff then went through all the submissions and, after a lot of thought and conversation, we're happy to announce our winners (see below). Honourable mentions go to Jadon and Testimony - well done. A very special congratulations goes to Jennifer, who has now left a lasting mark on the school with her contribution. Our next task is to design digital equivalents of her work and then we'll have shields for our Houses!
Honorable Mention Jadon Anand Jim
House Shield Winner Jennifer Gartner
Honorable Mention Testimony Ajayi
Insight Testing
Insight is a group-administered test of cognitive abilities, which will be administered to all Grade 4, 7, and 8 classes in EICS in the middle of November. The assessment is designed to measure cognitive abilities including reasoning, comprehension, memory, and visual/auditory processing. Students do not need to study for the Insight and the results do not impact their school grades. The results provide information about students’ cognitive strengths and areas of weakness to best support and program for all learners. For more information, please visit https://canadiantestcentre.com/cognitive/insight/”. If you have any questions, please contact your school's Collaborative Response Coordinator, Miss Gartner.
