New River is supporting Boulder Creek's Make a Wish student Brylee. She is a 15 year old student who suffers from leukemia. Her wish is to go to Hawaii. Wednesday, March 6, New River students can bring $1 to wear a hat all day. All proceeds will go to the Make a Wish foundation to send Brylee to Hawaii.

Winter is behind us and we are fast approaching another lovely springtime in Arizona. We just celebrated Read Across America last week. With Spring Break coming up the week of March 11, 2024, we hope you will keep the reading tradition going by having your child read during the week. Research has shown that reading on a daily basis helps a student’s fluency and comprehension. So read, read, read!

Kindergarten registration takes place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at New River School. If you know of anyone that has a child that is ready to start kindergarten, encourage them to come and register their child early. Of course registrations are taken all year round at https://www.dvusd.org/enroll, but we like to start registration early so that we have the proper staffing for next school year.
