In 1937, entertainer Bing Crosby launched a small golf tournament in California, pairing Hollywood stars with golf pros. Over time, the event grew, raising millions for charities supporting golf and education. After Bing’s passing in 1977, the tournament moved to Bermuda Run Country Club near Winston-Salem, NC, thanks to his widow, Kathryn.

From 1986 to 2004, the tournament raised over $18 million for local and national causes. In 1992, organizers created the Crosby Scholars Program, now serving students in Forsyth, Rowan, and Iredell Counties, to support their educational journeys.
