From the Principal - February/March Parent Teacher Conferences Were Successful Thanks to Your Efforts!
I am happy to say that we had many families who participated in the February/March Parent Teacher conferences. McKinley teachers report a 87% attendance rate. This is fantastic! Our parents and teachers working together make a wonderful team in helping our students to succeed!
We want to extend our appreciation to the PTA for providing staff with an evening conference meal. Thank you for taking such good care of us on these important extended days!

McKinley Is Looking For A Reading Corps Tutor for School Year 2025-2026!
North Dakota Reading Corps, a strategic initiative of South East Education Cooperative, demonstrates how national service and literacy science can accelerate improvement in both students and systems. By mobilizing the people power of AmeriCorps, Reading Corps provides evidence-based literacy interventions and data-based assessments to children from age three to grade three. Our goal is to help every child become a successful reader by the end of 3rd grade.
Reading Corps members work in small groups or one-on-one with Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students that fall below the proficient reading target for their grade level. Members meet with each of their students for 20 minutes each day, five days a week in a pull-out format during the school day. Members use research-based scripted practices (referred to as literacy interventions) to practice reading and teach strategies to become better readers.
If interested, please visit https://www.ndseec.com/page/nd-readingcorp for additional information and to apply.
