Central Elementary Bits and Bites

We hope families had a great Spring Break! This last quarter of the school year is going to fly by with all of the activities this time of year brings. CES staff is gearing up for state assessment time to get our learners ready to show what they know and we are planning our end of year field trips and celebrations. We will keep everyone up to date on all the new things as information is able to be shared. We will also communicate any changes that may occur as soon as we are able. Thank you all for a wonderful 2024-2025 school year- we are excited to make our fourth quarter the best yet before we take a break for summer!

Conferences are April 2nd and April 9th from 4-7pm. We will have a Skate Night as well as other activities happening before and after your conferences- We hope you can join us for a night of fun with your family!

Everyday, students pair up with a classmate that we call an Accountability Partner to check in on their Lead Measure completion. A Lead Measure (formerly referred to as homework) helps students practice skills to achieve their Wildly Important Goal (WIG). Each student has created a WIG in the area of reading based off of their Star 360 scores that they revisit and track their progress in their leadership portfolio and keep a scoreboard of their success. Students understand that when setting goals, certain skills need to be practiced to help them reach those goals in and out of the classroom. Students in the primary hallway have a reading activity to complete, while students in the upper elementary have a reading or writing activity they can choose from a Choice Board. Practicing skills with parents or independently can have a great impact on their achievement and goal progress. We thank you for supporting your student's learning and helping them to achieve their goals!
