🎉Congratulations to the Class of 2024! 🎉
College Decision Day/Senior Signing- May 1st
If your student applied to a school under regular decision or early action, the college acceptance deadline for almost every school is May 1st. Your student will need to submit their answer to every school that accepted them, either letting them know their intention to attend or that you're graciously declining their offer.

- May 6th- Native American Convocation- 4:00 pm @ FHS Cromer Auditorium
- May 8th- Hispanic Convocation- 5:30 pm @ CHS Main Auditorium
- May 10th- Credit Recovery Class Deadline (Plato, NADL, etc.)
- May 10th- Senior Grad Agreements Due @ Counseling Office
- May 13th- Native American Secondary Honors Awards Program- 4:00 pm @ Twin Arrows
- May 16th- Senior Service Day and Spring Bash- 9:00 am-12:00 pm- Meet in front of CHS Main Auditorium
- May 17th and May 20th- Final Exams
- May 20th- 23rd- Senior Checkout- last day to pay fees, return books/equipment, etc.
- May 23rd- Grad Practice- 1:00pm @ NAU Skydome
- May 23th- Senior Sunset- 6:30 pm @ CHS Practice Field
- May 24th- Graduation Commencement Ceremony- 3:00 pm @ NAU Skydome
Senior Exit Survey- Seniors
Seniors- another step in preparing for graduation is completing the Senior Exit Survey. This opened April 24th and will close May 17th. This is a graduation requirement. A StudentVUE email will be sent with instructions on how to access and complete the survey in Major Clarity.
Final Transcript- Seniors
If your student is planning on attending a post-secondary institution, they will need to request their final transcript to be sent through Major Clarity as well.

CTE/CAVIAT- all grade levels
Briannah Harvey earning her AGEC/AS degree. She has been diligent about enrolling in dual enrollment classes here at CHS and has concurrently worked on all other college courses to earn her associate degree. Congratulations, Briannah!
Alex Martinez Alvarez and Kansas Haskan earned their Certified Nursing Assistant certificates by completing the CAVIAT CNA program. Congratulations Alex and Kansas!
Janneza Moreno Luna is graduating with her certificate in Medical Assisting by completing the CAVIAT MA program. Congratulations, Janneza!
The CAVIAT application for 2024 - 2025 is currently closed. It will reopen at a TBD date.
Summer School- all grade levels
The Counseling Department sent Summer School letters home if your student is behind on credits. It will include information on how to sign up.

If your student is planning on going to a 4-year University after high school and they need to make up a credit or they would like to get ahead, your student will need to work with an online platform that provides them with a letter grade. There are a variety of accredited online schools available, including FUSD Northern Arizona Distance Learning.
Changes to Counseling Department
Mrs. Donna Lyons- CAVIAT Counselor will be retiring this year. She has served many years at FUSD and has made a huge impact on our student population at CHS. She and her Therapy Dog, Conley, will be greatly missed!
Mrs. LaShia Scharfenberger will be moving into the CAVIAT Counseling position. Mrs. Scharfenberger has served as a School Counselor at CHS for 13 years and will bring great knowledge and expertise to this new position.
Mrs. Celene Merrill will be ending her 4th year at CHS and is so grateful to have been a part of the panther community.
Ms. Janine Birchard will be continuing on at CHS in her new role as Department Chair alongside with three new School Counselors next school year 24-25!
