Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, we are introducing the Career Connections course for 7th and 8th grade students. Taught by Mitch Monfort, this course will immerse students in hands-on activities across a variety of career fields. Each module is designed to provide real-life experiences that will help students gain valuable insights and make informed decisions about their future career paths.
The course integrates online learning modules with interactive lab activities to lay a strong foundation for future careers or secondary studies.
Depending on their schedules, students will have the opportunity to explore careers in areas such as Design/Engineering, Health, Energy, and Construction.
Some of the fields they will explore include Laser Technologies, Energy and Power, Welding Basics, Structural Engineering, Introduction to Culinary Arts, Home Maintenance Systems, Nursing, Emergency Medical Technology, Sports Medicine, Video Production, Flight and Drone Technology, Robotics, Materials Processing, Digital Manufacturing, and Cosmetology and Barbering.
