Look for our awesome VHS Senior Banners on Crown Valley! We love our Students!!!
Thank You Blood Drive Donors!
The VHS Blood Drive collected 39 units of life-saving blood which goes to help as many as 117 patients in area hospitals. Many were 1st Time Donors who will learn their blood type and where it is used by downloading the Red Cross Donor App from the app store. Also, 8 donors gave a Power Red procedure which counts as 2 units and goes to emergency or surgery for trauma.
Congratulations to VHS on earning $250 in scholarship to be given to a student announced at Night of the Stars (5/22).
*Please encourage students to attend class for the entire duration of finals, especially when phone calls to classrooms can be particularly disruptive. Please encourage students to wait until break to leave school. Encouraging consistency in attendance not only helps students maintain focus but also fosters a respectful learning environment for everyone.
CAP & GOWN ISSUANCE
Graduating seniors who have cleared all pending fees and delinquencies through ASB will receive Gowns on June 5th after Graduation Practice @ 8:00am.
Caps will be open for distributed May 31st as a favor to seniors who wish to decorate their hats in advance of the ceremony. This tradition continues because past seniors have made good choices
about these decorations. Make wise decisions about modifying your hat and this courtesy will continue. An emphasis on college/career or your graduation year is the most popular choice.
YEARBOOK UPDATE!
Subject: Important Yearbook Delivery Update
Dear Mustangs,
We regret to inform you that this year's yearbook will not be ready for distribution by the end of the school year as originally planned. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Despite best efforts, unforeseen delays have impacted the production timeline. We know this may be disappointing; however, because of this delay, we have been able to include more end-of-year events, such as Prom, this year, unlike in previous years.
In the meantime, we will provide inserts for students who have purchased yearbooks to sign, preserving the tradition of yearbook signing. Additionally, we are planning a summer signing party where students can receive their yearbooks and celebrate together on campus. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the yearbook reflects the memorable moments of the academic year. Further details about the summer signing party will be communicated soon. Thank you for your continued support.

The Every 15 Minutes Program offers real-life experience without the real-life risks. This emotionally charged program, entitled Every 15 Minutes, is an event designed to dramatically instill teenagers with the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking alcohol and texting while driving. This powerful program will challenge students to think about drinking, texting while driving, personal safety, and the responsibility of making mature decisions when lives are involved.
Attendance Counts
Attendance Works
PARENTS....We really need your help!! As we move through the academic year, I wanted to emphasize the critical importance of attendance and punctuality for our students' success. It has come to our attention that we are experiencing a high number of tardies during the first period and throughout the day each day (today we had about 100 students with multiple tardies). While we understand that circumstances may arise, consistent attendance and timeliness ensure that students fully benefit from classroom instruction and engagement. To reinforce the significance of punctuality, we are implementing a policy stating that any student with three tardies will be required to serve lunch detention.
We believe this will help instill valuable habits that contribute to academic success and future endeavors. Your partnership in reinforcing the importance of attendance and punctuality is greatly appreciated. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Together, we can support our students in their educational journey.

PBIS Rewards Family App Access
Our School is using PBIS Rewards to help us with our PBIS program! PBIS Rewards is a technology-based PBIS Management System that helps us with our behavior incentive program. You can learn about PBIS Rewards at their website (www.pbisrewards.com).
Our students can earn rewards throughout the day by meeting our behavior expectations. These rewards are in the form of electronic points. They can redeem these points for privileges, tangible items, access to events, and other similar things. Our expectation is that we will see overall behavior improve throughout the school and that the number of referrals we have will decrease.
PBIS Rewards has a Family App that will give you some insight into how your child is doing with respect to our PBIS program. The Family App will run on most smart devices, including smartphones and tablets. You can find it in the iPhone/iPad App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store. Just search for "PBIS Rewards Family."
An email has been sent to families to get you set up on the PBIS Rewards Family App. Please access this email from PBIS Rewards if you wish to access your child's progress. If you did not receive an email, please contact Mrs. Lepp so she can help get you set up.
