SWS Newsletter
November 22, 2024
Dear Sandyston Community,
Happy Thanksgiving from SWS!
With the short week next week, there will be no newsletter. On behalf of all the staff here at SWS, we wish you and your families a very happy and joyful Thanksgiving. This month, we’ve been celebrating gratitude as part of our character education pillar. We are truly grateful for your children and the time we spend learning and growing together. Wishing safe travels to those who will be on the road.
Important Reminder: School Traffic and Turnarounds
We’ve been informed that some drivers picking up students in the afternoon are using nearby private driveways to turn around. Please avoid pulling into private driveways near the school for U-turns and be respectful of our neighbors’ property. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
SEPAG Meeting
Please join us on Monday, Dec. 2 at 6:30pm, just prior to the 7 pm PTO Virtual meeting, for our virtual Special Education Parent Advisory Group meeting. Topics covered include Child Study Team (CST): Who We Are and What We Do presented by Sarah Florio, school psychologist and Chronic Absenteeism and the Importance of Student Attendance, presented by Brooke Phillips, Director of Special Services. A Google Meet link will be emailed Monday afternoon to the community.
The Sandyston Walpack Consolidated School District is looking for interested parents and community members to join and lead this important special education parent advisory group. Your participation in SEPAG benefits the broader community as it considers the needs of a child as part of the big picture for all students and families in the district. Please join us!
