Hey Students!

Welcome to the new school year! I hope you've had a fantastic summer break and are ready for an exciting year of learning and growth.

As we kick off this year, I want to remind you of #NPSGoodThings. This hashtag is all about celebrating the positive things happening in your school every day. Whether it's acing a test, helping a classmate, or joining a new club, we want to hear about it! Share your proud moments and inspiring stories using the hashtag #NPSGoodThings.

Remember, every one of you has the power to make our school a better place. Your kindness, hard work, and creativity contribute to making NPS special. So, keep an eye out for the good things around you and don't hesitate to share them.

This year, I challenge you to:

3. Be kind to yourself and others

4. Participate in school activities

New NPS App and Communication Tool

NPS has a new app! Download the Norman Public Schools, OK app from the iOS App Store or Android Play Store and enable Notifications. You can also scan the QR code below.

Your teachers will use the app to communicate with you and your family through Rooms. You will not be able to join Rooms until you are sent an email and/or text invite. Those invitations started going out yesterday, August 12.

New Feature on our Website

We've partnered with an AI-powered platform to enhance our community engagement. You can find the new chat feature on our website – normanpublicschools.org – in the lower right hand corner. Get quick answers to common questions 24/7. Give it a try!

Norman Public Schools has selected Care Solace, an organization determined to calm the chaos of mental health care coordination, to expand access to community mental health and substance use treatment providers for students, staff and families. Care Solace provides a Care Companion team who can quickly and confidently find available providers in the community. The Care Solace service is now available at no cost to NPS students, staff and families. For more information, please visit CareSolace.com/norman.
