Pierce PTA Post
October 2, 2024 Issue 6
We loved seeing all our Panthers and families out at last Thursday’s Fun Run! This year’s fun run was a huge success! Thanks to the Pierce community and our sponsors, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $10,000 and were able to raise $23,000! The funds raised will continue to allow Pierce and the PTA to provide academic enrichment programs such as math pentathlon and accelerated reader, family events such as carnival and trunk or treat, and school enhancement initiatives such as teacher grants. A portion of these funds will also go to Variety, a local children’s charity.
Thank you to Mr. Chalker, Katie Kolo - PTA Wellness Chair, and all our PTA volunteers for making this annual event another wild success! A special shout-out to all our sponsors for supporting our students! Way to go Panthers!

Library Volunteer Hours
One of our biggest needs each year is daily help in our school library. Before you volunteer in the library, we ask that you attend a 25 minute training session. Once you are trained, you'll be sent the Sign Up Genius to sign up for slots. There are 5 open slots/school day (2 in the morning, 1 midday, 2 in the afternoon) and you are welcome to sign up for as many or few as fit your schedule.
Currently, we have training sessions scheduled on select Thursdays. No need to sign up ahead of time, please just check in at the office & head to the library that morning. Training dates are scheduled as follows. Please reach out to pierceelementarypta@gmail.com if you have any questions.
