PBIS Updates from Mr. Briggs
Did you know that our behavior data shows that Monday is our busiest day of the week for discipline? Please take a minute or two to have a conversation about behavioral expectations before sending your kiddo off to school on Monday morning.
DES has started a new Positive Office Referral program. If a student is seen by a staff member showing positive behavior, they can be referred to the office to help send a positive email or call home with Mr. Briggs. At random, students will also get to eat lunch with a friend and Mr. Briggs in the office to help celebrate their positive behavior.
Notes from the Nurse
October is National Bullying Awareness Month
To support this important initiative, our playground staff will provide kindness activities every Wednesday of the month.
Week 1 Parachute
Week 2 Kind words inside students’ chalk outlines
Week 3 Birthday line-up teamwork
Week 4 Musical chairs/hot potato
Week 5 Dance party
These activities are all in effort to get the kids to work together, get to know new friends, communicate and relate to each other. Special thanks to our playground supervisors for planning these fun and engaging activities for all students!

Attendance Matters
Dundee Elementary follows the Monroe County Truancy Guidelines which is a four step process. Please check out the steps below:

- Step 3: if absences continue, a meeting with the Monroe County Prosecutor will be scheduled
- Step 4: if absences continue, criminal charges can be filed
If you have any questions regarding the process, please email jay.briggs@dundeeschools.org
Did you know that Dundee Elementary School is a participant and supporter of the OK2SAY program? See more information below.
Not all heroes wear a cape and tights. A real hero speaks up for what's right. Be a real hero. If you see or hear something that threatens student or school safety, submit a confidential tip to OK2SAY.
Anyone can report tips confidentially on criminal activities or potential harm directed at students, school employees, or schools.
Tips can be submitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
